U19 Female 2024

The Colts U19 Female team will play their inaugural season in 2024! Colts U19 female football aims to continue to introduce full contact football to young women and develop the fundamental skills of the game in a highly competitive and fun environment


The South Calgary Colts Football Association is proud to announce the addition of the Colts U19 female teams for the 2024 season!

Colts Female U19 is open to all female players in and around current Colts, Bulldogs, Stampeder, Rebels, and Chiefs boundary areas, including Tsuu T’ina, Langdon and Strathmore areas. 

The 2024 Season will include the following teams including the Colts U19 female team: Calgary Wildcats, Airdrie, Okotoks, Red Deer and Lethbridge.  

The 2024 season will feature 2 teams:  a U16 female Junior Team, and a u19 female Senior Team.  

Senior Team (U19) will be athletes in Grades 10-12.  This means open to birth years of 2006, 2007, 2008.  

Junior Teams (U16) will be athletes in Grades 7-9.  This means open to birth years 2009, 2010, 2011.  

Team Communication for the 2024 will be through TEAM SNAP. Details regarding this will be shared after registration is complete.  


The 2024 season will run from approximately January 15 – June 15 (end date is TBD pending Provincial Playoffs)  

Indoor Practices, Conditioning and Team events will start January 2024.

Red Deer will host a Province-Wide Jamboree featuring teams from across the province for the 2024 season on April 06, 2024.  

Week 1 of the 2024 season is scheduled for April 13/14th 2024.

League Championship games  are held on June 01/02 2024.

Provincial Championships games are held June 08 2024.

For interested players, the Team AB U18 Female Final Selection Camp is scheduled for June 15/16 2024.


Information for now shows gamedays will be SUNDAYS from April 13/14 till mid-June.  

The 2024 season will include travel games. Travel will be at players expense, and the team/managers we will discuss ride sharing/carpooling etc. once the season is underway.


All equipment for the 2024 season will be provided, except for a Girdle and Cleats.  Equipment pickup dates are TBD.


Practices from Jan – April 2024 will be INDOORS. Location TBD and will be communicated to the teams once known. 

NO EQUIPMENT will be required for the first few practices. Equipment pick up will be arranged at a future date.

Indoor locations for practices require CLEAN Indoor shoes ONLY and WATER ONLY! 

April (TBD), MAY & JUNE Practices will be OUTDOORS @ the South Calgary Colts Locker Room/Practice field at Cardel Rec Center (3333 Shawville Blvd. SE)


Each players family will be required to volunteer during the season.  Managers will assign duties to each player to have completed throughout the season. If the duties are not completed, the Volunteer Bond Cheque provided at registration ($200) will be cashed.  

Gamedays will require lots of assistance from families. If you can’t complete your assigned duties or task, it will be up to you to find a replacement or swap with another family.  

List of volunteer spots, dates, and assignments will be distributed once the season is underway. 


Coaches/Managers and Team Sponsors are Needed for the 2024 season!

All Coaching certification and requirements are REQUIRED prior to being on the field with the players.

No previous football experience is required to be a part of the Colts U16/U19 Football teams.
